Understanding Your Dashboard
Navigate your knowledge workspace — projects, captures, and the knowledge graph.
Your dashboard is the home base for all your knowledge work. Here's what you'll find.
Projects
Projects are knowledge domains — containers for related captures. A ceramicist might have separate projects for "Glaze Chemistry," "Firing Techniques," and "Clay Bodies." An educator might organize by "Curriculum Design," "Student Assessment," and "Classroom Management."
Each project has its own knowledge graph, captures timeline, and synthesis reports.
Captures timeline
The captures view shows everything you've recorded, most recent first. Each capture displays:
- The original content (voice transcript, photo, text)
- Extracted knowledge atoms
- Connection count to your existing graph
- Processing status
Knowledge graph
The graph view visualizes the connections between your knowledge atoms. Nodes represent concepts, techniques, materials, and outcomes. Edges show relationships like USES, PRODUCES, CAUSES, and EVOLVES_TO.
As you add more captures, the graph grows and reveals patterns across your practice.
Weekly synthesis
Every week, Private Language generates a synthesis report for each active project. These reports highlight:
- Emerging patterns across recent captures
- Knowledge gaps that might be worth exploring
- Connections between captures you may not have noticed
- Changes in your practice over time
