Giving Feedback
Use the built-in feedback tool to share observations, report issues, and suggest improvements.
PrivateLanguage includes a built-in feedback tool on every page. Your feedback helps us improve the platform and the quality of captured knowledge.
The Feedback Button
Look for the speech bubble icon in the bottom-right corner of any page. Click it to open the feedback form.
The button is always available — you can submit feedback from any screen, whether you're browsing knowledge atoms, reading session summaries, or exploring relationships.
Six Feedback Categories
When you open the feedback form, you'll see six category options. Choose the one that best matches your intent:
| Category | Color | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Feedback | Green | General observations about the platform or the captured knowledge. "This session summary is really helpful." |
| Question | Blue | You need clarification or a response. An email field appears so we can follow up with you directly. |
| Bug | Red | Something is broken or not working as expected. "The search results page shows a blank screen." |
| Hypothesis | Purple | You're testing an idea or noticing a pattern. "I think build-on ideas cluster around weeks 3-5 as the cohort gels." |
| Feature | Amber | You have a suggestion for improving the platform. "It would be helpful to filter atoms by action type." |
| Knowledge Gap | Cyan | Something is missing from the documentation or captured knowledge. "I can't find how scope tags are assigned." |
Writing Effective Feedback
A few tips to help us act on your feedback quickly:
- Be specific — "The atom about dual coding theory is missing context" is more actionable than "something seems off"
- Include what you expected — if something surprised you, tell us what you thought would happen
- Mention where you were — the feedback form automatically captures the page you're on, but adding context helps
Attaching Screenshots
Click the paperclip icon in the feedback form to attach a screenshot. This is especially helpful for:
- Bug reports showing what went wrong
- Pointing out specific content that needs attention
- Illustrating a feature suggestion
You can attach one image per submission. The image is uploaded directly — no need to host it elsewhere.
What Happens After You Submit
- Your feedback is stored in the platform's feedback system with your message, category, and any metadata about where you were in the app
- The team is notified — we review all submissions regularly
- For questions (blue category) — we'll respond to the email address you provided
- For bugs (red category) — we investigate and fix as quickly as possible
- For everything else — your feedback informs our priorities and helps us improve
You won't receive an automated response for most categories, but every piece of feedback is read and considered.
